Captain America….The 1st Guardian
Where a mother hesitates, a Guardian will watch. Where a child fears, a Guardian will stay. Where a bus driver needs help, a Guardian will stand…and when they grow up, they will whisper “Good Bye” and move on to the next stop…They will never stop at keeping our babies safe…
Thank you #guardiansofthebusstop for keeping my son, safe today.
It became a game, a quest to see what other positions, dangers, and nefariousness they could find themselves in. Captain America, the 1st Avenger, the 1st Guardian, and the first hero to garner over 50 likes, started the Gallery of Guardians…since then, we’ve had our strong ones, like Hulk, to our not so strong ones like Eeyore, but each one carried a unique quality…a diversity that suited them perfectly for the job. LOL, Spiderman always trying to get in the Avenger pic, Batman always trying to date the Princess Barbies….I loved what we created together, but now he’s older….he doesn’t want his friends seeing them on the porch as the bus pulls up, and so, like Andy in Toy Story…he’s putting away…his toys. #guardiansofthebuststop it’s been an amazing run. Thank you all, for following.
So it is, with life and children. Secretly, he’d have probably let me go a few more years, but people were finding out, catching on, asking him about the toys on the porch…..His peers, didn’t understand, and why would they? It was a “Mommy and Me” project. I’m sad…because it’s an end to a certain quality of innocents….and end to this stage…he’ll never be HERE…again! And so, they’ll go back to the toy box, or many another child, with a mommy on the porch who’ll need a Guardian…but here…they understand, that their charge is a big boy now….
The Guardians were never above politics. From making Joy Behar look stupid, to Daffy stuffing the ballot box, they had a sense of humor, and a soft side. Sully warned us to not let Heart Disease be a monster in our closet…he was the first real Guardian after Merrill came home from ICU……The Guardians, represented a simpler time, and a simpler place…they were…what we’re now to busy to enjoy. For two years I got to play hero’s and toys with my son, and you were all okay with it 🙂 Sweetness and I really appreciate, and will never forget the love shown…our project. I’m going to miss them…two years….two years of these guys on my porch when I wake up every morning…….Sigh. Ok look….I see they’re here…Awww….I always did love these guys….OH!!!??? Look whose with them……well done Guardians….Well done. Thank you #guardiansofthebusstop for keeping my son, for the last time, safe today. See ya, in an hour. Be Blessed.
